Expect something great from God!

One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is John 3:16, which says:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

This verse truly captures the essence of the Gospel. The Gospel, meaning “good news,” is God’s plan to save us from eternal separation from Him.

Our imperfections separated us from God’s perfection, making a personal relationship with Him impossible. But God, in His love and mercy, sent Jesus to reconcile us. Through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and resurrection, Jesus accomplished what no one else could. His resurrection brought us back to God—and that’s the good news!

Thanks to your generosity, the good news is being shared across different parts of Asia through the missionaries supported by A Buck a Day. We are anticipating even greater things from God in 2025, and we want to express our deep gratitude for your ongoing faithfulness and support.

Together, we are building up Christ’s kingdom.

MISSIONARIES IN HISTORY

William Carey’s most famous motto is:

Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.

Born in 1761 in England, Carey was a Baptist missionary who devoted his life to spreading the Christian gospel. In 1793, he arrived in India and spent forty-one years there without a furlough, translating the Bible, founding schools, and advocating for social reforms. He also founded the English Baptist Missionary Society in 1792 and was a pioneer in establishing modern missionary work.  His efforts laid the foundation for modern Protestant missions, earning him the title of “Father of Modern Missions.”

We are deeply grateful for William Carey’s legacy and for all missionaries around the world advancing God’s kingdom.

MISSIONARIES IN THE FIELD

A Glorious Celebration of Faith

Since its launch, A Buck a Day has been supporting native missionaries with RHMI. Thanks to their tireless efforts, the gospel has been powerfully proclaimed throughout the Himalayan regions.

During their January mission trip to the remotest region of Nepal, water baptisms were celebrated in a glorious way. Among those baptized was Bhima, who had once suffered from severe heart disease. She and her family had sought healing through temples and witch doctors but found no relief. Bhima's miraculous recovery came only through prayer and encountering Jesus. With tears of joy, she declared during her baptism:

“The God who healed my body has healed my soul.”

Touching Lives through Physical Needs

Amy and her team had the opportunity to minister to the locals during their ministry trip to Tripura, Northeast India. God did marvelous things through the team’s medical outreach, clothes distribution, and feeding the children.

ABAD UPDATES

A New Partnership

Eben was raised in a Methodist congregation in the Philippines. In the 90s, he worked alongside Richard Ramos, a youth leader he met through the United Methodist Youth Fellowship ministry. After Eben moved to the United States, they lost contact. But in 2017, through a series of calls and Richard’s visit with his family at the Tabelismas', they reunited. Since then, they have stayed in constant communication.

Richard now leads the Fil-Am Global Methodist Mission ministry in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. One of the key focuses of his ministry is to support mission work in the Philippines through Global Methodist Church Mega Manila. Eben and Richard’s friendship led to ABAD and DFW Fil-Am GMM forming a partnership to advance this cause.
