What a year it’s been!
A cornerstone of my faith is expressed in Hebrews 13:8, which says:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God’s unchanging nature offers us hope for both today and the future. Life may be difficult at times, but we can move forward with confidence, knowing that the Lord will carry us through. His faithfulness to His promises gives us the strength to press on.
As 2024 draws to a close, we at A Buck a Day want to express our gratitude for your continued faithfulness and support. We pray that 2025 will bring even more joy and peace as we continue to serve Him together.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

MISSIONARIES IN HISTORY
Charles Thomas Studd (C.T. Studd), a pioneering missionary in China, India, and Africa, was born in England on December 6, 1860. Though he initially achieved high fame as a skilled cricket player in England, he felt a deep sense that something was missing in his life.
In 1878, a preacher asked C.T. if he knew whether or not he would receive eternal life when he died. Stunned and left without an answer, C.T. realized that he had not truly grappled with this spiritual need. This moment of reflection led him to desire a life of greater purpose and impact. After hearing Hudson Taylor speak, C.T. made a commitment to dedicate his life to serving Christ.
Having received a large inheritance from his father at the age of 25, C.T. decided to use most of that money so he could take the gospel to the nations. His passion for missions and desire to make an eternal difference led him to establish the Student Volunteer Movement (SVM), a ministry focused on training college students to serve as global missionaries. He also founded the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade, a pioneering effort focused on innovative and culturally sensitive approaches to missions.
C.T. Studd’s life was guided by a powerful motto:
If Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him.
We're grateful for C.T. Studd’s legacy and for all missionaries around the world who continue to advance God’s kingdom.
MISSIONARIES IN THE FIELD
Lives Being Changed
Prabhat, one of our missionaries in India, continues to serve in New Delhi. He and his team have reached out to Muslim and Hindu families, with some individuals choosing to be baptized as a public declaration of their commitment to follow Christ. Additionally, they recently graduated a new group of Bible School students, who are now equipped and trained to share the gospel with their families, friends, and communities.
Preparing the Field
One of the ways our missionaries engage with the communities they serve is through farming, which also helps support their livelihoods. Jeff and Faith, our missionaries in Thailand, work alongside local people to prepare the land for planting.
A Well of Life in the Himalayas
Our mission partner in Nepal, RHMI, uses well-building as a key strategy to reach Himalayan communities. A newly constructed water tank in a remote village now serves as a symbol of hope and unity for its residents.
Reaching Every Tribe
Sherwin and Chelsea recently participated in an outreach to the Lahu tribe, an independent and diverse ethnic group primarily located in the Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces of Thailand. Please continue to pray for them as they reach this community.
ABAD UPDATES
A Sixty-Year Missions Journey
Dr. Richard Wehrman, the American missionary God sent to share the gospel with the Tabelisma family in the Philippines over five decades ago, went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2024. The mission field was his home for sixty years. The Tabelisma family will forever be grateful for his life and ministry. Eben attended his memorial service in Florida, where he had the opportunity to meet Dr. Wehrman’s two daughters and their families.
Our Trip to the Philippines
Time spent with friends and partners in the ministry was the most treasured part of our time in the Philippines.
Appointed Meeting
Though it wasn't planned, during their visit, Eben had the opportunity to meet several of A Buck a Day’s mission partners: Bishop Ariel of AMO Foundation in Thailand, Bishop Ed of Coalition for Global Mission in the Philippines, and Matheus from Brazil. It was inspiring to reconnect and catch up with these guys.

"No higher honor could be imagined than to be an instrument in the hand of Jesus Christ, to be at His disposal for the furtherance of His purposes, to be available whenever wanted for His service." (John Stott, 20th century theologian) |
